Welcome to Trumps.

More info to come.

Tarot is a set of seventy-eight cards, each featuring different symbolic pictures. A standard Tarot deck is made up of 22 cards called the major arcana or trumps, and four suits of 14 cards - similar to playing cards - called the minor arcana or pip cards.

There are always 78 super powered beings in the world. Most of the time they are secret but they are there. They became publicly known when one tried to save the world trade center and failed. Now they are hinted at and rumored but no one knows where they are or how to find them. As one dies, a new one comes. Always and forever, or so they say......

Despite the description there, concepts outside of magic are allowed. There are no large populations of mutants people know about and oppress but there are mutants. Superscience also works, but it would be super secret. No one knows there are such ranges. Magic works as well, but no one knows it does. What I am saying is most of the origins works save being alien. Your from the world. You might want to pick a major or minor arcana to use as a basis for the character. The Tower has already been requested.

The idea I would like to play with here is that the world slowly learns there are Powers in the world and how they react. I do want all PC's to be generally on the side of the good guys. You can be a little shady but murderous thugery will probably not fit the feel I would like. Wolverine is fine but Garth Ennis style Punisher, not so much.

There is actually a secret history of powered individuals in the world. A few people may have guessed but are regarded as fringe or crazy. There are no heroes in capes and tights, at least not yet. People know there may be something out there and to some it is a source of hope and others a source of fear. Our player characters will need to decide how they want to enter the world now that they too have powers.
